We guarantee everything we make bearing the FireWorks dragon hallmark for TWO YEARS from the date of delivery unless otherwise stated. Our guarantee covers items exhibiting faulty workmanship and materials. This includes such things as loose gemstones, broken prongs, solder breaks, weak clasps, surface defects, etc. 

Specific Item Guarantees

Ring Sizing

We will re-size your ring at no charge within two sizes until the ring fits to your satisfaction.

Appraisal

We will have your custom item appraised at no charge by a certified gemologist, provided that we supplied all gemstones and total value is $2000 or greater. Items under $2000 will be subject to our normal appraisal fee. We strongly recommend appraising and insuring your valuable item(s) through your insurance company to cover all damage or loss.         

Maintenance

 During the two-year period we will inspect and clean your custom item free of charge. If necessary, we will polish and refinish your item, including re-plating.

Gemstone Loss

 We will replace gems lost as a result of manufacturing defects provided gems are set with the minimum number of prongs (see full warranty).  This does not include gems over $10,000 retail or lost due to fracture and breakage (see below).

Items Not Under Warranty

This guarantee does not cover loss, mysterious disappearance, or damage caused by accident or normal wear and tear.

Gems & Diamonds

We do not assume responsibility of the loss of a single diamond or coloured gemstone above $10,000 retail value.  Please insure large diamonds and gems with your personal insurance company.

We do not guarantee that a diamond or gemstone will not chip, scratch or fracture after leaving our store. This applies especially to soft or porous gems such as emerald, opal, pearl and turquoise.

We cannot be responsible for the further fracture or damage to stones or diamonds that are received from the customer previously damaged, chipped, broken, or containing large inclusions or imperfections. We will always attempt to inform the customer of these risks at take-in or before proceeding with the work.

Shipping Charges

We do not cover shipping costs to or from FireWorks should you require delivery of your commissioned jewellery or items repaired under our warranty.

Deposits on Custom Commissioned Jewellery, CAD/CAM Renderings and 3D Printed Models

  1. There will be an initial $300 design deposit fee for any commissioned design we create. This fee allows us to provide to-scale drawings if necessary, and subsequently provide computer renderings and a 3D model for your approval. The fee is 100% creditable towards the manufacture of the ultimate piece. If you do not proceed with the manufacture of the design within two years, the $300 fee is forfeited by the customer and is not refundable or usable as store credit.

  2. Upon your approval of the rendering and/or 3D model, we require a SECOND deposit equal to one half of the total estimate (minus the initial $300 deposit). This second deposit allows us to cast and complete your custom item. Gold and estate credits may be used for any or all deposit(s).

  3. When your custom design is the same as an item in our showcase, sketches, renderings, and 3D models are not necessary, hence the initial deposit is half of the estimate, and we proceed directly to casting and completion.

                We reserve proprietary rights and copyrights for all designs, including but not limited to the right to re-create any design, mold, model, or part.  All designs, models and molds used as part of this contract remain the property of FireWorks Gallery and will be retained as such.

                       Custom items are non-refundable and non-returnable.  We take great care throughout the process to ensure that we follow your directive. We do not proceed without approval on quotations, drawings, renderings and models. We have built our reputation on integrity, trust, and meticulous service.

Limits of Liability

We do not assume responsibility for the loss of an item over $10,000 appraised retail value. Please insure valuable items with your insurance company before leaving them with us. We are not responsible for items left 90 days beyond their completion. In the case of loss or damage to item(s) herein described, our responsibility is limited to the repair or replacement of the lost or damaged item(s) with similar items of comparable retail value.
